Default Why can't people write/think up a proper title for their thread on this board??!!

WHY CAN'T PEOPLE WRITE A PROPER TITLE FOR THEIR THREAD?? THEY ARE SO FREAKIN' MISLEADING!!!

As an example, someone recently started a thread titled:
Borla Dyno. I went into the thread thinking someone dynoed their Borla exhaust, instead he asked "has anyone seen a dyno chart on the borla exhaust yet? ". What the hell!!??

The title should have been:
"has anyone seen a dyno chart on the borla exhaust yet?"

JEESSHHH!!

If I start a thread the read "400hp 350Z", that means I better have an actual 400hp 350Z to talk about, not "how can I make my 350z have 400hp".

Get it?

If I don't see the attachment icon I typically ignore the post. If I do go into 1 I quickly back out if it's not what I thought. Not really that big of deal IMHO.

True, I usually do the same.

It wasn't a big deal because it was only a few threads, but I see more of these everyday. Especially in the Engine/drivetrain mods section. It's a section that provides technical info on aftermarket parts and installed aftermarket parts, but when you go into a thread reading "NISMO CAMS!!" and inside the thread the member says "Has anyone installed them?" WTF??

Know what I mean?

OK I'm done venty. Thanks

my old 'home' www.acura-cl.com uses vbulletin also, and they have enabled a feature that shows the first few lines of text in the first post of a thread when you 'mouse over' the title. It's great for situations just like the ones mentioned here. I have a slow internet connection here at work so when I have to click on a thread with a vague title to see what's in it, it's very time consuming.

Mods, can we enable this feature on this forum? Please???

I have a slow connection at home (yes that's my problem), so that's when I get irritated when I wait for a thread that has a misleading title.

Yes, mods, any help with this.

Think it's mostly "Newbie" posters. I was never really big on these forums until I got my new Z. I'm sure I've probably done the same thing. Kinda a learn as you go thing.

I really wish we had that on this board, it's a slow running board anyway and that would really help. Especially those of use who are blessed with dial-up at home

If I can't figure out the post by the title I just skip it.
