Just buy the car!!!... it's worth the $$

... most of the people who have a tranny problem can't drive stick for ****. I admit I can't drive stick that well (been driving stick for 2 years I don't expect to be that good) but, I know it's my fault if I grind gears and break the tranny.

ok so I wen to the dealer and yes it had a bad tranny...It had a third gear crunch...So ya i obviously didnt buy it...But I'am buying this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

hopefully tomorrow if all goes through. My only issue is it has a few flaws...Mainly these rub marks by the driver and passenger fender like the previous owner rubbed up against something...On the passenger side it has a small dent and another thing is the back bumper on the passenger side where it meets the rear fender is not all the way flush with the car...its like maybe 1/3 of an inch outward. But ya I'll probably take it to a body shop and see what they can do and hopefully it wont be to much. Its not bad for a 5 year old car, and I didnt notice any tire feathering but the tires are like 2500 miles new so...who knows. But the tranny seemed fine I didnt take it to redline or close to it but will do tomorrow before I hand over the check. Im buying it for 19000...Ya it is kind of a lot but it does come with the 100k warranty or good till 4/2011, and its a certified used car. And in the pics the black painted dash looks cheap...but when i saw it in person today it looked a lot better, the pics dont do it justice.

What's up with the dash/radio surround? Why does it look like it's made of cheap-looking shiny plastic?

The owner had it sanded and painted it actually looks really nice in person. this picture is a bit better.
The rear brace is also painted with the same gloss black it came out really nice IMO

If the body panels or the bumper is misaligned, the car has been in a crash. I would reconsider this purchase.

My 03 was awesome, it had tire feathering, but got the dealer to allign it again and a new set of tires. Never had any problems since. Snail trail was there, but I loved the fact that it was the lightest model out there. ( <--- 99% sure that's true)... Suspension seems stiffer out of factory than my 07 is for some reason. And it had the rear axel clicking but that never bothered me either.

cheers.

Its the rear bumper its not that its misaligned, but where the rear bumper meets the fender underneath the taillight its not flush with the car, I would say the corner where it should be flush is just sticking outward maybe 1/3 of an inch.

I love my 03, although it has gone through almost all the problems.

Tire feathering (fixed)
Transmission is notchy (but did not die yet! still going!)
Fuel assemblies going out/guage reading issue --- WARNING THIS WILL COST YOU $700 TO FIX. As it is this week for me.
Rattles galore...
Window motors have never gone out, but I do have the snail trail on the window tint

My car has been in a couple minor wrecks, nothing major. And my rear bumper is not factory aligned, i have an aftermarket oem sideskirt, but everything is very close. Most people can't even tell, unless you have a trained eye. However, it drives great, mechanically sound. And I enjoy it. Just take care of all the problems and little things and maintenance and you will enjoy your car that much more.
