I think its about right if its a salvage...honestly I dont really think the 05 (track and anniversary)-06 motors are that big of a deal...so you have oil consumption you get a new motor under warranty...Im doing the oil consumption test right now, and the dealer was really cool about it. BTW I think I got a steal on my 35th w/34000 miles OTD for 20040 BTW NOT A SALVAGE

i had an 06 and i didnt regret it. i had the consumption too much i loved the car too much to let that bother me. now i have a 08 335i and since its turbo it consumes oil like a **** lol so im back to where i started.

I found tons of deals in my area on 06's when I was looking for a Z. Whether the problem is covered or not, I just didn't feel comfortable knowing that there was a solid chance I could have this issue.

So I bought an 05 one owner, low mileage, Touring PPW and have been happy ever since.
