Default enthusiast but no diff...?

So i was looking at picking up a 350z very soon, and i happen to find one i really liked on craigslist, its a 2003 enthusiast ppw 350z, volks, kit, all that stuff. So i proceeded to asked if it came with a lsd...he said it doesnt and the 03s dont come with them? Now i just recently got into 350s about a week ago but ive been reading none stop on them and i was under the impression the enthusiast model DOES come with a vlsd, even if it is an 03. Am i just misinformed or does he not know what hes talking about? either way, any help on identifying if it does or not would be appreciated seeing as how im checking it out this sat, thanks!

Are there steering wheel controls?

If there are, it's an enthusiast, and it has the vlsd.

If it doesn't have the steering wheel controls, the car is a base.

1 - It's actually a base
2 - He has no idea what he is talking about
3 - He removed the lsd and put an open diff on it?

I used to like “What model is this?” threads until I found this site: http://www.nissanhelp.com. Now everyone can figure it out.

although useful not havnig VLSD is not the end of the world. The car will still handle better than most on the road it just will be a little touchy around the corners.

Cars with more power than ours have been riding around without VLSD for many many years. The 350z does fine without it, but having it makes taking corners more compareable to a front wheel drive car. You can gun it around the corner without sliding the back end out so easy. Also remember it has a downside to it as much as it's upside. Opinions vary i guess, and you know what they say about opinions.

totally would if i had the extra 1400 on hand!
btw, i was planning doing the 4.08 gear install as well, is there any other lsd thats a direct swap into my 350z base pumpkin along side the final drive?
and i hear you honda, just a matter of personal preference i suppose. so i guess the only way to find out which is for me is to drive both of them, which im doing tomorrow
thanks for the help guys.
