Hi, guys, I recenly sold my 350z it was a touring model , I had put and injen catback, 18 inch rims from a 2007 350z and a lip kit, it had 72K it was a six speed, any way i got 20K for it and ontop of the 20k i also got a 99 civic hatch back, ................that was just some history.....
Now, am looking for a new car and I saw a 2006 350z base model with 25K milles, nismo CAI and some pullies..... I drove it but didn't really felt any difference from my old z infact i though it was a bid slower. My question is a base model Z slower than a touring or any other trim?

since you had an '04, why not look around for an '07? Doesn't make much sense going from an '04 to an '06, but whatever floats your boat

the 06 is a little heavear i believe with a little more power

there really isnt much a differance other than lights ide get the HR like those guys above said

 

well, what i really want is a nismo, but not really willing to spend that much right now....... and as far as a 07, i would jump on it but i have have not yet seen one at the auctions....( i work for a dealearship, so I get good deals on the cars i buy.) the reason why i sold my old z was 1. I didn't really like the color , (silver) 2. I was able to get a good deal on it. and they are devaluating fast as far as auction price goes.
I really don't care for the leather or the sound system, am more about performance. That why i was asking, sice the base doesn't have traction control ........ what else does it not have from the touring?

 

dont get a nismo get a HR with a nismo or better exhaust and put a nismo kit on it and get CAI and some good coilovers boom better than nismo

THE O6 AND THE 04 WEIGHT THE SAME, BUT THE O6 IS .2 SEC FASTER 0-60 AND HAS 13HP MORE WITH BETTER TUNED ECU, BETTER MIDDLE RANGE POWER,AND ALSO THE ENGINE HAS DIFFERENT PISTON RING AND SEAL, WITH BETTER COMPRESSION RING.

if you're talking MT's, the 06' has less torque and more HP. The redline is higher and it makes it's power higher in the powerband. It'll feel slower unless you rev the **** out of it. But it'll pull strong all the way to 7k RPMs. Base is missing TCS/VCD and an LSD.
