Looks like this dealer got his hands on one and is definately charging over MSRP. Says 12 miles on it.

$39K to start the bidding for a F^&*ing touring model, $40K if you want to buy it immediately. It probably doesn't even have the NAV system, I think the dealer would have mentioned it if it did. Methinks, I will just wait for my October delivery.

Hopefully this isn't somebodies pre-order. It seems a fair amount of early order people have been getting the run around by the dealer on delivery dates.

No. This is not Vin #001. This is a car that is being sold out of Cali. There's another one up for bid (this one). There's a link in the initial thread. Check it out.

Let me shed some light on the situation as Ive actually talked to this dealer, and my expereince these guys are really trying to rob people.First off they refused to do preorders and have like six cars coming in soon .5000 over msrp plust they wanted to tack on a protection package I tried to tell them I had a order from a competitor who was selling at msrp and asked if theyd match it,he got offended that I asked.Do yourself a favor and avoid San Rafael Nissan like the plague unless of course your made of money.Just my opinion

oh and one more thing MR Ducks please show a little pride in your automatic you talk about it like you sinned.Im switching from a manual to auto and cant wait.Few more months of pressing down the clutch in bumper to bumper traffic and im done with it.I dont think you need to shift gears to enjoy driving.Anyways im proud to be getting an auto and really sick of people saying that an auto isnt a true sports car with an automatic. To each there own and for me Ive had enough rowing through gears to last a lifetime.

What?!?! No preorders for customers and all fake orders for their own dealership for insane markups??? This has to be the most blatant abuse of pre-order program to date by any dealer. I think we should all email and complain to NNA specifically mentioning this dealer and giving the link to his ebay auction. How about leting Zisme and Yelogto know and also emaling NNA?

Nissan needs to crack down on this kind of behavior. This is total BS. If anyone notices that someone bids, e-mail them and tell them what crap it is. Sunroof? Come on. This makes me sick that there are people out there like this, much less a dealer.

Default San Rafael Nissan Sucks!

I used to get my servicing done there for my '99 Frontier, but every time I brought it in, they'd find something other than what I brought it in for amiss. I quit going there because I got a really icky feeling that I was getting hosed. In fact, a friend of mine took a look at it and found that they'd even forgot to put two bolts back from the brushguard when they changed the oil!

I've found that the service departments and sales departments of dealers often go hand in hand, so the fact that the sales guys are trying to screw the public is no surprise.

Like bayarea-sunset says, avoid San Rafael Nissan! Go to Northbay in Petaluma. Much nicer.
