SnyperZ: First of all I would like to tell you how helpful your post was to me, really it was very insightful. I would also like to point out that the ramp was the only way for me to get into the garage area without them moving other customer cars around and I wanted to do it myself so that te mechanics didnt scrape the bumper. Looks like that was useless because I scraped anyway; however, they have agreed to fix the bumper for free and have apologized. If you cant get the dealership to do something for you, thats only because you lack the people skills to get things done. Thanks again for your post

Well I guess in the end they are the idiots. Im gonna go to the dealership today...smash my car through the showroom glass and then have them pay to fix it stating the glass was "too clean" and I didnt see it there...thats pretty much what you did. YOU took YOUR car down the "sh*tty" ramp, knowing it was shitty, scraped your bumper and blamed it on them. They shouldn't be blamed for your stupidity. Thats absolutely pathetic on both parts.

+1 Perhaps the best time to have brought it up was when it had happened - Not wait until you leave the lot and get enough nerve to place the blame onto somebody else (over the phone...) Or hit a speed bump on the way home?

Apologize or not, it's easier for him to suck it up and take the hit then have you run your mouth and bad mouth the dealership for your own mistakes. But I'm sure you already knew this and that is why you took advantage of this situation.

Sorry man, it just says something about your character. And don't worry you're not the only one, my job is actually resolving/breaking it down to your type all day (my job is to specifically handle escalations.)
