Question Need help with a decision

I need to know what all of you experts think out there.

I have a chance at a used 350Z, auto touring, white, with all options (incl. nav) except cargo organizer.

It has 6800 miles and they are willing to sell for $30350 + fees (my estimation is about $33000 out the door).

Sound like a good deal. They kind of tried to screw me earlier and this is what they are offering as there way to make it up to me.

Please let me know what you all think. Thanks

"make it up to you"

?????

the dealer will never try to make it up to you for screwing you before - dealer bs.

they are still tryin to screw you

look at some of the prices on ebay

I always hate when people don't buy a car they really want because of dealer bs

good luck

Dmitry

Heck no!!! It better be including some Nismo suspension for that price.

Plus why not get the manual. I think auto defeat the whole purpose of owning a Z IMHO

I wish I could get the manual, but being 6'5 I don't have enough room to work the clutch.

So you guys don't think that ~$2,400 below invoice and ~$5,300 below MSRP is a good deal?

For a brand new Z that would be a great price. 6800 miles - I don't think so. A car looses a lot of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot.

I am always cautious of cars that wind up at the dealer after only 6800 miles. My question is why would someone return a brand new car with only 6800 miles? I realize there are some very good reasons that do not affect the car at all, but there is always a “what if” type of scenario. How do you know the car wasn’t a dealer demo at first, then used by the gen. Manager to drive the **** out of it only to finally sell it to some unsuspecting customer?

Anyway, if you really want the car, I think you can do a lot better than that price especially if the dealership is “trying to make it up to you”. Personally, I would save up the extra couple grand and get a 2004 model without nav. That would put you very close to the price you are quoting and you will get a brand new Z.

If you will decide to give your money to the dealership, I would at least have a mechanic look at it and use carfax.

Just my .02

Dmitry

P.S. if height is an issue, you might want to check out G35. I am not sure, but I have been hearing that they have slightly more legroom than the Z. You should be able to get a great deal on that car.

For that price, I'd rather get a brand new one
And I don't really like cars with a few thousand miles on it, it has a pretty good chance of being abused...
I knew a few of rich friend that they always buy a brand new car, drive the sxxx out of it then sell it...

I thought I would give you all an update....I passed on the used Z and ended up with what I think is a pretty good deal...

I picked up on Friday a brand new Brickyard touring (auto) with floor and trunk mats & side air bags....I got $2,000 below MSRP, a great APR (3.69%) and a damn good trade-in.

I am DAMN happy with the car and the deal.....thanks to everyone for the advice!

Also, I had the aero package added yesterday....got 10% off and free installation.
