Very cool. Nearly spiritual. Now I feel like a poser for just recently hoping on the bandwagon.

Oh, WOW! The guys that drove the Z's from the ships into the shipping trucks must have had a field day... looks like Z's forever... as far as the eye can see... I can sleep well now.

Ah yes, back in the good ole days when I was merely a lurker and everyone was fighting over how much horsepower the Z would have, among several other things.

I believe it was right after I saw this that I finally gave in to the urges and ordered a Z of my very own.

ah yes, the "WAIT" I didnt get around to this board soon enough, wish I was a charter member here, but no. I signed up and left cause it was dead. account deleted, BUT IM BACK!

I waited with the zcar.com crowd. I found posts on there dated january 2002, tho Im pretty sure I was there since before that even. Ive been obscessed with this car for almost 2 years, and Ive only had the damn thing for like 7 or 8 months!

Yeah, I remember hitting zcar.com and following all the rumors. The antenna and gas door and horsepower issues were all anyone could talk about. The anticipation was great, and I'm still in love with my car.

One of those is now mine. I remember seeing that post and freaking out...stopped by the dealer to tell him my car would be here within 1-2 days. He assured me that it would be 2 more weeks.

He called the next day to tell me it was sitting in front of me, and that it was the most exciting day since his kid was born...funny, funny stuff. Needless to say, he now believes me when I tell him something about the Z.

I'd say my girlfriend was about to kill me during those couple days...man, that was an exciting feeling though. I felt like a celebrity all last fall.

Yes, we have all taught our dealers something about this car and about the power of the internet and our enthusiasm. It wouldn't surprise me if this car and this phenomenon is marked later as being a turning point in dealer/owner relationships. I have never before heard of not one but many, many owners telling dealers about known problems and what they need to do to fix them.

I remember almost 1 year ago when mine sat on the docks for 2 weeks in Norfolk. They made Nissan get new carriers to transport the cars after suposedly damaging several during loading. That was the longest 2 weeks of my life... The 10 month pre-order wait was worth it for my #153!

There was a dock strike in Los Angeles and I thought my car was floating off the So Cal coast...I even went to the harbor to stare at the ships lined up waiting to come to port and be unloaded..I thought I would never get my car...my buddy shows up with his 50th anniversary Corvette and offers to take me to his dealer to get one for myself...it almost went down that way...I'm glad I waited
