People getting compliments - What color Z?

Both Brickyard owners proved my point when they said basically "you didn't see it at its best".
You have taken me out of contest to support your perspective. I said my car was not at its best because it was dirty, not because of the color. What car is not "at its best" when covered with road dirt and grime.
Like you, I hope to see some final 2003 production figures. It'll be interesting to see just how "rare" or "common" some of the colors turn out to be.
BTW, Brian... your car is starting to look green in your sig.... I can beat that tho... look at mine... it's both Brickyard AND Lemans Sunset! WOOHOO!!!!

Look lets end this right now - Daytona Blue is the best!!! Get it under an arc light at night and it is awesum - bit hard to find arclights all the time though...
And by the way why do you all spell "colour" color?

I was sitting at a stop light today in the left-turn lane in my very clean and shiny Silverstone Performance. A girl turned left from the cross street and as she came toward me, she pointed at me and mouthed, "I love your car." Made my day.

I have SB only because the other color was Silver...and silver seems to be the most common color Z out there and I wanted to be differnt...not that there is anything wrong with Silver.
White is really sweet looking too...my wife like white. There is a Lemans in town but its almost TOO showy for my liking...sure I like to show off in my Z but there's too much bling in the Lemans.

my biased opinion
Chrome Silver - this color attracts most women (important factor unless your married with rugrats). keeps clean and cool. definately the color that screams "cla$$y car". yes, its common but it just looks money no matter what.
LeMans Sunset - funny color. clown time
Super Black - black always looks good. but too hot. dirty to quick
Pikes Peak White - girl color
Redline - maybe for a 40+ y/o on his corvette
Brickyard - so so color. nice to look at but wouldnt ever own a car with it.
Daytona Blue - maybe on a viper. trying to be too fast and too furious with this color
Silverstone - kind of a neat color but without the cla$$.
but all in all, whats most important, is what you like. no?
unless one of the colors somehow puts you in low 12's. then i didnt know about that color. i'd choose that color.

I was lucky enough to get a Brickyard last October. I ordered it in June or July. I get tons of compliments on the color...people literally flag me down, pull me over, and fallow me into parking lots just to ask me what color my car is. But then again, I don't think anyone would go through all that trouble to tell me my car color is ugly... Anyhoo, So now that they've dicontinued the color, what does that mean for us Brickyard owners? I would assume is good news for us, but why did they discontinue the color? Does anyone know exactly how many brickyards were produced? I'm 1 of maybe 5 in the Austin TX, area. I see alot of 350's here, but rarely do I see other brickyards.

color
I have had compliments every day on my Brickyard. It doesn't matter whether its clean or dirty. I became so paranoid a couple of weeks after I had it, I started leaving it dirty or didn't drive it at all because I thought it would be stolen or vandalized. Its over a year old and filling up w/gas in Amarillo, Texas on my way back from N.Mex., some guy yelled across a crowded street, "Hey, I really like your car"! It hasn't stopped yet and I think only one other person has a Brickyard in my town.

Short analysis:
Brickyard - Gay cousin of the Z family
Pikes Peak White - Class Act
Super Black - Unclean
Redline - Too traditional
Chrome Silver - Popular
LeMans Sunset - Controversial
Daytona Blue - Rice Boy
Silverstone - Dull, gray
Liquid Aluminum - Overpriced
I think PPW gives the car a nicer, more sophisticated look, while chrome silver is probably the best looking (due to it's ability to stay clean, accessories match, etc.). Silverstone, is just one shade too dark IMO, too gray, but still nice. Brickyard is nice if you're out to impress femmes.
Lemans is in the middle, people love it or hate it.
Red sports cars are kind of a cliche at this point. The Daytona Blue just reminds me of some 18yr old punk in a Civic Si or WRX with a carbon fiber hood, fart exhaust, and unpainted body kit. Black technically looks nice, but I too have owned a black car, and will never do that again.
The Z definitely needs a yellow, people would pay $1100 for that...

BTW, stealth white was my first choice, but my wife made me come to my senses just in time to buy the Brickyard.

DB for me
Mine is DB. I've gotten 4 instances of positive attention so far... if they were only from young Asian women... Oh well. In my case, they've been too old, married, or in one case a male.
