Default horsepower

Hey everyone,

I have a 2006 touring 6spd. I have heard that the 350z is not very responsive to N/A upgrades, to put it another way, everyone keeps telling me to save up for a turbo. I don't want to buy a turbo for my Z; I am spending most of my money on my 1994 Supra. what are the best upgrades I could do to my Z that would not require a turbo. I am think along the lines of intake, flywheel, headers, exhaust, chip, sparkplugs, etc. anything that will make my little Z go faster. this one website claims you can get 50 hp and tq with a chip. http://www.slrmotorsports.com/?gclid...FSJIagod1yG3PA
What do you think

I'm pretty sure you should know better than to think that will yield 50hp. It does say money back guarantee, so you might want to try it . Honestly, that's a really bad idea, and you can lose power with that mod from sirmotorsports.

A good way to get power with a 350z is..

-Plenum spacer
-JWT pop charger
-Catback exhaust
-HFC's (high flow cats)
-cams (if your wallet can handle it)
-test pipes
-Osris tune or something along the lines of that

you could see some nice gains, opposed to buying something that claims something without proper dyno graphs.

Driver mod is the cheapest and most effective mod you can get.

1st of all as HDPD350z said, improve your driver skills. Work on car control and practice on your shifting and really bring out the potential of the car when driven to its limits. If you wanna extract a bit more power then do some bolt ons such as an intake, 5/16spacer with mrev2, test pipes, exhaust and a pulley and a reflash. Save money by skipping on the spark plugs(pointless) and headers as they will provide minimal gain unless u go crawford which is $$ and a PITA to install. Put in a clutch/flywheel combo and add 3.9 or 4.02 FD gears and she will be a blast to drive on a daily basis. You should search around and find the info u need. Good luck.
