haha reminds me of when my gf had an rx8 i was putting synthetic into it and the dealer told her the car's no supposed to take synthetic thats y oil was coming through the filter.

I laughed a while at that too!

Anyway the bar has nothing to do with it. Tell him 03's had a recall for this issue, and to get with the program!

The strut bar caused nothing...

He doesn't know sh*t.

It's a Nissan recall/tsb that eventually had notices mailed to all owners.

Its due to the Toe setting, not the strut bar. shoot the mechanic in the head twice.

That would mean installing a strut brace would fix the front tires.

The dealership has to abide by the RECALL! And in no way shape or form did the strut do it becaus ei belive the Base model does not come with the strut bar, but i may be wrong. (correct me if i am) Im sure there are more than one dealership near you as well so take it to a diff one. If they are all from the other dimension then...well then my friend my suggestion is to go pick up some nice brand new tires. Then have them put on and get yourself an alignment by someone who actually does the FULL alignment, not just Toe in and out!!!!!!

Owning a shop i used to take my customer's cars to a place near me that i had a good deal with. I eventually find out that a 15 min alignment is only a toe in and out and done. They never adjusted the rear or caster/camber. I would drop it off and BAM they'd call me like it was done..i was like no way!!! Now i've got the HUNTER Alignment Machine and im loving it....

If you'd want to drive out to North Brunswick NJ i'd do it for you...I do my alignment least once a month. Just to make sure tires are saved.

So go with that if u like.

Find the TSB/Recall online print it out and take it in to them... If they claim the strut did it... tell them you took it off yesterday like mentioned so it obviously wasnt the problem.

If that doesnt work then try talking to the head of service... if that doesnt work... keep escalating the issue... go to the top if you have to... hell you may want to just go directly to the dealership head and see what he will do.

Yep, if you call Nissan USA they can help you with it I'm sure. I had a similar thing with my passenger side window motor. I had it replaced once under warranty and then the replacement motor literally went out 1 year and 3 days later. The warranty was 1 year so the dealer said sorry. I called Nissan and they took care of it for me (after a couple weeks of phone tag with the guy at Nissan-I guess he went on vacation or something during this process, haha).

It is an '03, and it is now '08. Exactly what does anyone think the dealer is going to do about feathering 5 years after the fact? They didn't do much about it in '03 for gods sake.
