Default new clevis pin

I had the dealer order a new clevis pin because from day one my clutch has never felt right. It seems that it engages too high up (clutch), if this makes sense. I bought it back in october and this has always bugged me, but I hope it fixes the problem. Anyone here that has had it replaced i would like to know the difference, thanks for the help, brad.

Any of you who get your trans replaced, make sure your dealer installs part#30631-CD000. This is the clevis pin mentioned above.

Is this the pin that is in the clutch pedal linkage inside the car?

If so what effect can it have in the shifting, it seems like it wouldn;t affect the travel of the pedal.

Not sure how to put this..... On the end of the slave cylinder there is a pin that gets pressed when you hit the clutch pedal. The clevis is what pushes against it. The new clevis is a hair longer than the original.... I hope that made some kind of sence.

OK, that helps. So it is the clevis not the pin because I thought the pin just holds the clevis in place, which is why I couldn't see what the pin could be helping.

When I got my new trans a couple months ago, the dealer also did the clevis pin. When I picked up my car the clutch pedal was VERY still and had very weird engagement. After a couple days the clutch actually started slipping. I took it back to the dealer and the tech and I figured out that the new clevis pin didn't allow the clutch to fully engage, thus my clutch was slipping. He re-adjusted it and now it's perfect again. My car was perfect before the new clevis pin, and messed up after the pin. I'm confused as to why nissan would release a TSB that messed up the car...
