me either. i mean, who cares what the hell you get in MPG. over 80% of the time you will get what every one else is gettign anyway. thsoe that do not get those numbers do not reset their MPG gauge correctly at every fill up so they will read low or excessively high

Everyone drives differently as well. And "City" driving can vary in large degree on the city!

i get 22 to 23 city and 28 to 32 hwy. when you say you ride at 3k rpm city driving. that seems a little high to be driving at unless your going 80mph.

I think that it is bad gas.

Also, I average 18-19 mpg with over 500 whp (pretty hard driving and with UTEC)

I will check again after I get her back with the Fcon set up. The first tank I can accurately predict 12-13 mpg

that is in the normal range - tuning becomes a critical factor of course, but you're right where you basically should be for stop and go driving

just remember, it's going to be different for everyone. On my car, local driving has always netted me right around 320 miles per tank(right when the light comes on) - even now on the built motor, etc, it's still the same. But, change the climate, change the octane, add in some hills, etc and a differential of 10% is totally expected.

I get 18-24 in the city, depending upon how hard and fast I drive the car. I'm usually drive conservatively, but occasionally like to be aggressive (especially when some idiot wants to block me from a merge lane… love the torque here, but it does co$t a little in mileage when I let them catch-up, and then roar by them).

30 mpg is normal for me on the highway.

I have a 2003 Performance model.

i had the same issue. i have a 2003 base. when i first got it the gas light would come on so i would fill up and it would only fit like 15 gallons. everywhere i read said it was a 20 galloon tank. so i did a little experiment, i actually drove it until it ran out of gas. (which i know is bad, but one time can't be horrific!) I drove something like 75 miles after the gas light came on. when i filled up i fit over 19 gallons in. Ever since then, when the light comes on, and it tells me that i have around 50 miles left, its been right! I fill up and i can fit ike 17-18 gallons. I think the sensor like "reset" itself after running completely out.

also, i track gas mileage EVERYTIME i fill up. I get around 400-420 a tank. mosty city driving. so around 20 mpg

I reset my mileage meter every morning before I drive, so I can actually monitor my mileage as accurate as possible due to my driving habit, this way I can improve my mpg by changing my driving habit. But my mpg always ranges between 8-12 mpg.

Quick Reply: 19.3 mpg and not even driving hard?
