Default 19.3 mpg and not even driving hard?

I mostly drive in the city and im averaging 24mpg. On a full tank I can hit 250-280 miles. is there something wrong? I dont push it too hard, just some times. I just recently had my 02 sensor replaced because it was ripped off when i drove over something. what do you guys avg? also what do you think is effecting the mileage? any feedback would be cool thx.

My average for the last two years is around 20. (Yeah, I keep track. Child of the gas shortage!)

well it the computer shows 19.3 currently, but averaging 24. I asked my friend who has a Z and he told me that even if he steps on it, he gets 340 miles on a single tank. what are you guys getting on a full tank?

24mpg x 20g tank = 480 per tank

Seems like you are doing well.

The digital mpg display is the wrong way to calculate mileage. The only accurate way is to calculate it yourself after every fillup.

I average about 9.8 mpg.

BTW, I don't think it is a 20 gallon tank, but I may be wrong. If it were 20 gallons, then at 15 miles per gallon you would get 300 miles per tank, which would be on the lower end of the avg mileage and higher end of the miles per tank seen on this forum.

Unless you are driving your car til it's completely out of gas, your math is horribly off.

The next time you refill, calculate the miles driven vs the gas used.

My onboard computer shows 19.3 constantly. Why are we all getting higher/lower MPG's if mine never changes with my driving habits?
