How do I talk my ex-wife out of buying a 350Z?

A couple of years ago I bought a 2005 Touring Redline 350Z, I've been a Z-Car fan since the 240z and knew I was going to buy a 350Z the day I saw it.

Since I've bought my Z her 24yr. old son (about 1.5 years after) bought a 04 base 350Z it's a nice car and of course he gets about as many compliments as I do, I bet.

I've let the ex-wife drive my car while we were hanging out and now she wants to buy one. Thats cool but really with all her grand kids (not mines she not my 1st wife) and other responcibility she needs at least a sedan or G35.

My thing is that a Z-car/Sports car is a personal want its not a neccessity like a regular vehicle is in the Southwest part of the Nation. The Z car is not the type vehicle that you can haul a family in. I'm sure she knows that but passion can drive you to do alot things you will regret.

Now I have 3 cars my Z will never see sleet or snow and ice my 4x4 Jeep will handle that and my dd is a Infinity Q. I deserve a Z and am a steadfast fan.

I think it would be cool for the 3 of us to have 350Zs but really its not a car for everybody. How would you convince hre not to buy a Z? Letting her drive my car again only makes her want it more!

tell her having another Z would be redundant because if your willing to share then what's the point of having two?

You can't talk a woman out of anything. Let her do what she wants.

You can suggest her to buy used Z(they're too cheap now) and by another daily/people carrier for real cheap.

^+1 Yes, post pics of the EX (naked is better) and we'll let you know if she's worthy of driving a Z.

Tell your ex-wife that the new chick you are railing has a 350Z, and that she would just look envious if she bought one too.

Or that the Z is a deathtrap, that it has a mind of it's own and crashes going around a corner.

Let her drive it down a rough or bumpy road.

Ask her how she's gonna carry her kids around.

Ask her if she can comfortably afford the "sky high" maintenance costs.

Explain insurance costs.

Tell her they break a lot.

What do you care what your ex-wife drives? I mean, even if you two are friends, its her money (hopefully you are not paying alimony, lol).
