I am aware of the on paper differences between 04/06/08 but have not seen too much (if any) information about anyone putting them head to head down the 1/4 and on the track stock.

Anyone know where I can find an article/info/write up?

well then here:

Its a completely a drivers race between the 03-05 and the 06, the 1/4 "times" are so a alike with good drivers you can pretty much say there is no difference in the car. The 07 HR is a different story, it has ran 13.1s stock and would stomp an 03-06 Z. There is some driver ability involved as well, however alot less.

Check those 1/4 times somene posted to get a better feel of what different drivers can do with the different years.

pretty much what he said. the only noticeable difference is btwn the 07 and the 03-06. There isnt too much difference btwn the 04 and 06

btw i still dont like the 07 hood bulge. thought it was gonna grow on me, but it hasnt

And what do you have done? It will take a fully bolt on built DE to beat a HR stock. It's all in the Drag times.

07+ HR no previous Z can touch without major modifications unless it's a 300zx TT.

usually HR>DE>REVUP...but driver once again is HUGE

 

you should have left it as no previous Z can touch the HR. heck the 300zx can barely touch the 03-06 Z so not sure where you are getting that information from, especially if it is a 1996 model.

 

the power levels are so minute when on the road compared to the power to the crank and weight ratio it all comes down to which driver is better at racing head to head!

 

A Twin Turbo 300zx can kill a 350z. HR it is pretty close.
