This might be irrelevant, but didn't the HR's gain some weight from previous Models? HP to Weight ratio

So If I see a few guys trapping low 11's with a 06-08 Z06 while the majority are trapping in the high 11's low 12's Im to assume that the Z06 itself is only a high 11 low 12 car then right? Or does your logic only apply to 350z's

actually** its been proven that a wishful thinking DE owner stuck adimently in thier ways to reject and grasp the concept of PROGESS, nullifies the 30rwhp or so the HR has...so... DE>HR

Since your observations are narrow, considering the overall picture, I would have to say you are wrong. Because the world does not exist solely in your little bubble, you must consider the data that's available.

Easiest way to do this is to go by the C6Z Fast list (I did the same thing for the 350Z). Personal observations can be refuted, but numbers speak for themselves...

Wow talk about condesending lmao. Relax man and pull the stick out your azz its not that serious. Im not attacking your Z06 Im well aware of what that list is as Ive been a member on that site for some years now. I gave you an example just using your Z06 in the same light as what you said about the Z.

I find it selective at best to say a car with quite a few low 13 runs is somehow not a low 13 car because most drivers arent getting low 13's. My only point was to attempt to show the car is low 13 capable regardless of if the driver can get it there or not hence my analogy with your Z06. Ill leave you to your opinion as I see where you are going to take this discussion. Its really not that serious on my end.

All I provided was the average time listed for the 350Z, based on information provided on this website.

Do some drivers score low 13's, yes they do. But that is not the average. The average is a mid 13 second run.

Is the HR 350Z a low 13 second capable car? In the hands of the right driver and at a well maintained track in a good geographic location, yes it is. However, so far, that is not the norm. That may change as more and more drivers hit the track. But we can only go with the numbers so far provided.

The same could be said of the C6Z. The car is capable of high 10's/very low 11's, however, that is not the norm, for the same reasons listed for the 350Z.

Well I guess we were both making different points that got misunderstood. I completely agree on it not being the norm however as you said in the right hands and track it is low 13 capable. Crisis averted

We are talking about rwhp on what the car actually does. That doesn't even discuss the new SAE ratings between the years.

So the wiki is wrong or they would have a bhp rating for the DE (287), and the SAE-certified rating for the HR (306). Someone should fix it so people like me aren't confused

well its in terms with this and anyone correct me if im wrong but there shouldnt be much difference between 07 and 08 because they are using the same VQ variants. Both produce 306hp with i believe a 268lb torque output. Now here is the interesting thing that newer z owners tend to ignore. The 03-06 z33's run with the vq35de variant (not the high rev of the limited z's) produce 287 hp but with the higher torque output at 274lbs of torque so i always found that interesting.......the sacrifice of tq for hp i guess numbers are more important to people lol

depends on who bought the driver mod, i have a 03 minor bolt on's right now and have beat many new z's at the track, rev up or not, i actually havent' lost to one yet, props to my driver mod. i believe 8 for 8 with other z's. I don't get a chance to see them on the street around here cause there are none which sucks!!
