Well I was looking around the area for a 350Z to buy, found this at one of the dealership.

I'd be curious what a CVT 350 would sound like - my bet is like a speed-boat. The revs would rise - you'd hear the exhaust - then it would just hang there (rev-wise) and accelerate.
Not saying that it would be better in any way as compared to listening to the revs rise-and-fall, but interesting non the less.
I also have an '09 Murano - but the exhaust (and for that matter - the intake too) is near silent.

The Infiniti FX35 sounds like the stock 350z. The Murano is much quieter....
Unsure about the power handling of the CVT. I can speak to it's efficiency - getting @23mpg w/the Murano. And MOST of that is putting around town...
