That one guy owns a Z28, and says it can out handle a 350z. Many in that topic are idiots.

To be fair...

The 350Z is built on the FM platform, which is shared among other Nissan Vehicles (SUV's included). I believe the G35 was the first to use this platform.

Half full or half empty...

350Z built on an SUV platform
SUV built on a sports car platform

Semantics

What difference does it make? The Z is what it is even if it was built on a Hummer platform. The end result is all that matters.

Again, the Z platform was built for a sports car not a SUV originally. He is making it a point that the SUV was out first and the 350z was built on it.

I thought the FX was actually a CUV, Crossover Utility Vehicle. A vehicle built on a car platform

Well if it's built on the same chassis as a 350z, and it sounds like a 350z, then it must be a 350z.

Good point. The 350Z is built on a car platform so the 350Z is not built on a platform used to make SUVs. On the other hand, there are some modern SUVs that drive a lot better than some classic open cockpit sports cars that where built, body on chassis.
