1. Why didnt Nissan use clear markers like Infiniti easily did for the G35?

2. Why didn't the side reflectors get made into parking lights?

I'm not asking too much, am I? Clear markers would have made a hell of an appearance difference and if the side reflectors lit up like parking lights..that would have been really nice.

 

1. I think amber is the only legal color on the front of the car, excluding headlights and foglights...

2. Simple answer: costcutting... they don't want the 350z going the way of the 300zx because it gets too expensive for enthusiasts...

*edit*... clearcorners.com has some lights like this, Ares makes some currently with a 3-dot design, and he is in development of something totally different, so for 2-300 you can have the lights you speak of...

 

1. I dont know... seems like it should be legal as the G35 uses them. but who knows, perhaps they just prefered the amber over the white on the Z? I donno.

2. probably cost, maybe simplicity. but as wren said I make a version similair to clear corners too(strips of LEDs), but I felt it could be even better. so Im pursueing that path. but it takes time to just get the materials and figure out what works, and what doesnt. you can see what Ive done so far in the link in my sig. but as for what I got cooking, no pics of that quite yet.

eventually it will come tho. if the current plan works without any problems then you might see it for sale in a week or 2.
