I have a 6 years old boy and thinking of getting the Z as a second car. Anyone on here driving your kid around with a car seat in the front passenger? lol

I use bungee cords to hold my car seat to the rear strut bar. That way the kid is farther back in the vehicle therefore being 10x safer.

Yeah man, my daughter rides with me sometimes. My daughter loves driving with me everywhere plus you can throw on a DVD when your going somewhere pretty far.

At times it's a pain in the *** though cause my wife likes going with us so we end up taking her car.

You could always get a 2 door G35.

don't understand the fear of kids in a 2 seater. but 90% of my cars have been 2 seaters.

I've taken all my kids for a ride in the Z. They have car seats or boosters that use the seatbelt to hold everything down. They love riding in the Z.

I put all 3 of my kids in the passenger seat at once. I just roll around the neighborhood at like 5 MPH, but technically, that should count.

My daughter loves open dumps!!! She's always beggin me to rev it. I took her in the viper and in the Zs and she loves it. 8 now and big enough to take an airbag to the face as she has no car seat to decapitate her. Plus, I don't drive insane when she's with me no matter how much she wants speed. We're gonna have serious issues when this one turn 16 unless we're all on horses again by then

Did some work on this, especially if you're worried about the airbag and small children. First you have to get and fill out a form from NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) HS Form 603 and request the installation of an on-off switch for the passenger airbag. Fax it in and in about a week you'll get the approval. Next head to the Nissan dealer to order the part. They need the approval letter prior to ordering the part. Its expensive. About 350-500 for the switch and another 300-500 for labor. However, it did take my part guy a while to find the part since the company who makes it went out of business. Don't bother with the 800 Nissan number. They are useless.

Yea there really shouldn't be any problems driving a kid around in a Z. Just drive EXTRA careful and use a child/booster seat.
