Not sure where to post this, but has anyone tried putting their 350Z on a Penske car carrier?? The penske site says that all cars with 17" and taller wheels will not work... this doesn't make sense as a 265/70r15 with a 30" diameter works, but our 26" diameter doesnt?! I would guess that our car may not meet the minimum width between tires or it can't get up on the trailer...
Anyone??

I was able to get the car up on the Penske trailer (full car carrier, NOT the car dolly) by backing it up and by putting two 2x8's (about 6 feet long) under tramps (and extending out about 4'). Basically, you lessen the angle and you begin to raise the car up about 4' out (this helps with clearance behind the front tires after they go over the 'lip' - make sure the rear tires go up on the 2x8's not long after the front tires are over the lip). The reason I backed it up was that the low front end tended to be very close to the rigging on the front (not an issue if you back it up). Penske will tell you that the 17" and 18" rims won't fit on the ramp, but it is NOT true... mine has the 18"s and it fit just fine (with room to spare).
I trailered mine from Memphis, TN up to Boston, MA without a problem

Appreciate your post. This is exactly what I am getting ready to do. Did you actually try it front end first or just decide by looking that it would be too close? Also, since you were backing it up, any problem with wheel spin on the ramp? Thanks
