headlight adjusting?
I have a major problem seeing more than 15 feet in front of me in very dark areas...almost hit a couple deer tonight..how do you adjust the height of the headlights I know the hi-beams are there but I find myself turning them on and off constantly and in the rural parts of macon ga. where I drive there are many dark areas with no streetlights for miles...I tried a search but didnt find anything relevent to answer my question....can anyone help...thanks.....

With a flashlight I looked down between the metal brackets behind the light housing, drivers side, near air filter box, the picture below shows a cog gear that maybe the adjustment screw. It's to dark now to check.
I still can't ifnd them, and I don't even have an airbox in my damned car anymore!!! (Injen). Do you have to take the bumper off and do this from underneath? I would really appreciate several clear, daylit photos of the location -- like, one of the whole engine, and then two other photos progressively zooming in. Photos like the one above are nice in thought, but don't help because I can't identify the large blurry shapes....thanks for trying though! Cheers,

You can not see the screw from the top. You need a real long philips head screwdriver, probably at least 14" to get to the adjustment. Their is a small open area(hole) above the headlight housing on the fender side. When you slide the screwdriver in the hole, it actually sits on top of a gear that adjusts it... If you still can't find it, then the pain in the a.. way would be to take off your wheels and fender liners and you will see where the gear is. Then you have to put it back together and do it with the long screwdriver again since the car has to be flat obviously to adjust. Good Luck... I have done this many times already...
i'm also attempting to adjust my headlights..... just a quick question: which way do i turn the screwdriver?? left or right??(prespective of facing the front bumper) i want to raise the beam so please tell me which way to turn. thanks
