When you open the door to get out, maintain contact with your hand on the car at all times unless you're ready to shut it. You won't get grounded.

Worse yet! The top of my driver's side glass is rubbing against the uppermost part of the
window (i.e. the glass stuck up--literally!--so it's scratching the paint every time I shut the door!!!) I already ordered the power window motor from Advance Auto Parts, $161; it'll arrive in 2 weeks, they said...It's gonna be a L-O-N-G two weeks!!!
BTW, the static thing never happens to me (???).

Shocked everytime I close the door. I learned to let the door close on its own. **** is annoying!

I think he means when you get out to close your door, keep your hand on your door untill you close it.
