My first Z encounter (share your stories)

Much as it shames me to admit it, I was actually trying to pre-order a (an ?) rx-8 on Fathers Day ( a Sunday). Could find no Mazda dealers open within 50 miles of Nashville. Began to get really PO ed. While searching, I saw a Nissan billboard, and thought let's just look. Of course, the Nissan dealer was closed, but there was a CS on a turnstile outside. Oh, hell...
Got on the phone...there was a dealer in Nashville open, and willing to wait for me. On the way, I thought "It's a 2 seater. No way to carry my daughter and granddaughter. Oh well..."
Got there, looked at a Maxima...looked at my Z...looked at a Murano(sp?)...looked at my Z...looked at a Frontier...looked at my Z...called my daughter and got her permission, wrote a check, and drove really fast and happy to my daughter's house to show off. Been in love with this car ever since.....

Now if you want the Murano as a second vehicle, that would be good too.

I was looking for something fun and after test driving a Mini, I was thinking I liked the handling and style, but thought it wasn't "manly" enough. A week later, I was sitting in the boom operator's seat of a KC-10, instructing a new pilot on the way back from the Azores, and simultaneously flipping through his copy of Maxim and the Z sat there in a 2 page article, looking beautiful. I said the moment I saw it "that's the car I'm going to get", and I did!
