OP,

Take the members' advice in stride and enjoy your new car responsibly. This thread will start "heating" up in a moment, so I'm out. I'm trying to go drama-free for the New Year.

btw, post pics!

Probably should have purchased a cheaper car instead of breaking your budget with the Z and resorting to cheap/tacky mods...

PS. Check the Rota Wheel thread. It's all about looking the part but not paying for it.

I don't mean to sound like an *******, but when people judge by my age that I'm going to "rice" my Z out, or crash it gets on my nerves a bit. I don't say "Oh you're 45 years old and have your Z cause you're going through a mid-life crisis." C'mon gimme a chance.

The vast amount of fail comes from kids on here. We're all a bit jaded by it.

Just seems like all their money goes to a car payment so they're just itching to mod the car as well so the only way to mod it is to go cheap... Pep boys, knock off items, and stuff that is just tacky... ie taking your exhaust off. The Z is the new Civic now because of the influx of kids on here.

Kids are VASTLY more apt to wreck (see your insurance rates vs. mine) too.

It's a stereotype for a REASON. It's usually what happens...

This is just where we are coming from BTW, do with this info as you want.

Statistics don't lie, this site is probably not the best to post your age. I was 17 when I got my Z and I just went over 2 years with it. I have never gotten in a wreck or been pulled over. On the other hand I would have definately killed myself if I had a Z at 15, I was like anyone else at the age very irrisponsible.

On this I agree with Hraesvleg (aka the Grinch)

Actually, there are a good number that don't even pay for their monthly insurance/bank notes...while that's no fault of the "kid" it may reflect poorly on the partent(s).

I know where you guys are coming from about this, believe me I got **** from most of my family about getting one, but my parents deemed me responsible enough, and felt like I deserved the car I wanted. I do exceptionally well in school, and I have excellent behavior. The reason I wanted a quick cheap mod was because since I'm only 15 I can't get a credit card, so I can't order parts online whenever I desire.

Well just because your a good kid and do good in high school doesn't make you responsible enough to own a 300hp rwd car. I had two friends in high school die racing around in their dads mustang gt, they did very good in school and were responsible. Don't put money in to your first car, my advice would be to save it for your next one. If you can afford a Z at 15, imagine what you can get when your 18 and out of high school. I assume your parents got it for you, which I'm not knocking cause I was pretty much given mine. To say your responsible though when the first thing you want to do is spend your last 100 dollars on mods for your car is a little farfetched.

2. JWT Popcharger

Weight reduction is always free and effective. Spare, plastic trunk coverings (if you want to), etc.

Picking a mod would seem to be the least of your problems since your 15 and can't legally drive it.

It's a 100 dollars of Christmas money though, I got it to do something for my car, granted I can't do something extreme or anything, but I figured someone on here would give me an idea of something I could do. Which don't get me wrong a few of you gave me decent answers, but I mostly got a lot of hate.

You mostly got hate, because we could smell the cheap stuff you want to put on your z from a mile away. RDX antenna is 11$ at the dealership, and a popcharger is just under $100 dollars shipped from conceptzperformance.

Well, I didn't know about a popcharger or the RDX antenna. They sound like something I would be interested in.

Shouldn't you be playing with toys at your age? I say sell the Z and get yourself an RC car

do a lot of research and get educated about this car before you do anything to it.
