It was the without a doubt the scariest moment in my life, and I'm grateful to be alive at this point. I still don't really know what caused me to lose control other than me hitting a puddle or some other sort of debris. The car was declared a total loss earlier today, so this concludes my time as a 350z owner as I think it is time for a change into a car that is more practical. I would like to thank all the posters on here for posting all the very useful information. It has taught me more about the Z and cars in general than anything else.

Wow! What a crazy rollercoaster of a thread. Glad you're okay but please learn from this incident. Cruise should NEVER be used in adverse weather conditions.

Ok,

I started at the beginning of this thread and started getting annoyed. So im taking a shortcut. I got a G or so to spend for engine/suspension upgrades. There already is a cold air intake, looking for some easy HP.

Let me know

Plenum spacer gives the best HP for the buck and apparently you instantly feel the hp gains and its pretty easy to install.

Rain, 71 mph, cruise control = boom.... Too fast for raining. Speed Limit for good weather isn't even that fast. Oh well, lesson learned I guess... too bad though. Glad nobody hurt.

How dare you say that!!! I am not 45!!!

Actually, I'm just one of those people that always drove beaters and put my money into things that would GROW, rather than depreciate. I finally decided to spend a little bit more on something a little nicer to drive. I still have my 86 Ranger, and my 94 Altima, WR250, GSXR 100, and R1...so I don't go without toys.

Enjoy your car, have respect for the work it takes to pay for such a car, the harm it can cause... But like others have said, sometimes cheap mods just look cheap. I know you may just be dying to do something to the car, but be selective. It's like having a perfect paint job and wanting to wash it so badly that you use the soap brush at the car wash and scratch it all up. Sometimes, the best option is to do nothing.

wow...just read about your accident. Glad you're ok. Hope you can get the car back in shape, but the pics aren't there, so I can't see how bad it is/was.

Pretty sure the kid had some kind of skills seeing as how it was his first car, he had it for four years and he didnt crash it till last year, anybody can hydroplane, he had to find out the hard way on using cruise control in the wet, but either way it goes calm your ****. and your bumping a 5 month old thread trying to flame.

Just gona throw my .02 in on cheap mods for under a hundred. Pick up an aluminum polishing kit/ sand paper all the stuff you'll need. Go to town on the intake mani, tb, front engine cover, brake calipers, whatever you feel like. It's cheap and time consuming lol
