Very true, new Z owner!! Go easy everyone, I'm also one that is fortunate of the current economic situation at hand. Anyways a lot of you on the forum are not as socially elite as you think. A lot of you discourage the ideal of having a forum. It takes all kinds!!! I bought my Z because I'm a Nissan enthusiast, my Murano saved my life, then my wife talked me into trading in my Harley for our 06 3 fifty, a choice I won't regret.

my uncle bought his 350zr back in 05 and my dad bought it off him for just a little over 10k last year. i have been driving it since. im blessed to have my parents cover the insurance for me. im under my dad's name in the plan and all that.
I'm 25 and pay $132 a month with Geico for my 05Z, no tickets in the last five years though.

ive got a friend who is 23 and driving a lambo an has a is-f for his daily driver.. there is always gonna be some punk *** kid with some car that we drive or would love to own.
Difference is what u make of it. 3 months after i put the time attacks on my car some kid in my valley whos car is also black went to the same shop and ordered the same wheels an told them to tell him what else i have done cause i have good ideas. I hate that more than ricers.
I wanna see that kid get this TT set up im doing.. that will seperate me from him an all the riced out 350' s soon to be on the rise!

They will all street race and die in a horrific fireball death. Hopefully they will also kill the stupid bystanders lining the streets. And hopefully there will be videos of it for us to laugh at on American's Funniest Home Videos.
We just have to age slower then their street race death rate.

I pay $60 a month for full coverage and $50 deductible and that includes renters insurance for my apartment and I am 20 with a perfect driving record.
I have been driving since I was 16 and drove a company truck till i was 18. then my first car was a 300ZX. But i wasn't ready for a car like that traded it in for a corolla then about 18 months later I got hit in a parking lot and insurance totaled it then I got my Z.
Its actually cheaper on insurance then any of my other cars.

Whoa guys, I think you're putting too much thought into the idea that younger people are buying Z's and may rice them up ect. What ever happened to loving your Z for what it is and not for who else is driving it. But I do see where you're coming from. I don't want to see a 350z around every corner with knock off mods and crappy primer painted body kits anymore than the next z enthusiast.
mr "mature" over here who smokes pot every day in his "welding" class. you think you're going to be able to get away with that in the real world? GTFO noob and don't wreck your Z, if you even have one.
I am a semi-vet here I guess. I am 21 but bought my Z at 18. I sold it after two years for a ridiculously low price because the resale on these cars is embarrassingly low- but that's besides the point.
I enjoyed my time with my Z, I spent loads on it and took care of it, but I never ever could escape from green eyes. At least once a week I'd get the "parents bought it" comment, or "rich kid" remark, (which is hindsight is hilarious because the car was fairly cheap).
I never understood how you could know someone's whole life just by seeing them get out of their car. No one knew my dad was a 76 year old appliance repairmen facing eviction from his farm-house because the land-lord sold the property and he had nowhere to go. No one knew my mom (divorced) ran a glorified "garage sale" behind her house selling consignment clothes to pay the bills.
Nope. To them, Mommy and Daddy, the big doctors and lawyers and "fat cats" just bought me a "graduation present". The $350 car payment and $212 insurance was all in their name I guess, and I just reaped the rewards.
But in reality when I got up every morning to go to my shitty job, I drove the car I saved so hard for. Two years of no cell phone, pushing carts at Lowe's and working two jobs just to get my dream car. It made me happy and made my drive to work every day worth it.
Now I'm over the "cool car" stage of life and buying a house across country to live with my beautiful fiance. It was fun, but the douche-bags will live on.
@ Hraes- I know, no matter what, I'll always have been one of those douchebags. Here's to you. <3
