Unless you got a set of Volks sitting at your house, you dont owe paypal one penny. thats between them and the scammer. my guess would be they would try to get it from you first, as they know you have the money.
Seems the guy got victimized twice - would be a cold day in hell before I would have "paid them back".
How about an update on the remainder of the folks that this douchebag scammed? That would make this thread have an epic conclusion, regardless if the scammer goes to PMITA prison or has his wages garnished for life.
if your paypal is in negative for more than 60days they will send collections after you. I would suggest you contact them regarding the fraud issue so that they can put the negative balance on the scammer.
This is what I was suggesting, while PAYPAL may not communicate directly with the Credit Agencies, you better believe their dogs will... It is a sticky situation, my point is the $2300 you got is not really "Free of Charge", you still essentially have someone else's money in hand... You don't want to be the guy dressed as a Pirate singing with his guitar about his credit ruins... My point is you need to resolve this with Paypal, because you are not sitting pretty for the future as it is... My
Thread purged.
Beautiful Nerd & Rickdogg, knock it off guys. No more personal bashing. Both of you have said choice words to eachother. I allowed eachother to respond accordingly. Everything after that, I deleted.
Everyone stay on topic also. I just spent the past 3 hours cleaning this thread up...

I had to call multiple times, submit tons of evidence, get my friend to do the same, provide proof they shipped the item, and in the end because it took so long my account went into collection. I also had to deposit the money back into paypal before they would even consider my fraud claim.
Keep in mind I had been using paypal for years and had made many large transactions to and from my account.
because the collection calls were annoying as he11. and i was using my brothers account for the past 2 years.
Well paypal recovered $2.66 for me.... woopti dooo... Filed the dispute with the bank and I got my money back already... why would anyone want to use paypal after seeing something like this happen? Karma will get this guy.. hope the rest of your guys are getting your money back as well.
I've contacted paypal, and they adjusted my balance back to $0 and put the -$2300 to the god damn douche, the only thing we need to do now is to wait until this douche gets tossed in the jail!!
I will still try my best to explain the whole situation once ic3 got a hand on this case, can't stand a loser like him tried to scam over his own Z fellas
