HHmmmm...... Not really actually. Update from another thread:
Sooooo uh i got to school this morning and got to work on seing what the hell was wrong with my bumper..... and found some preety disturbing things. The impact was strong enough to not only dent the bumper, but actually bend the metal support brackets that hold the support beam. Whats that mean? I now absolutely HAVE to get insurance involved due to the repairs going over some odd 800 dollars on just parts (doing my own installation FTW) annnd im going to need two new brackets, a new bumper, and a new tail light. Hopefully the chicks insurance just gives me a check upfront and doesnt ask questions, meaning i can pocket the labor money and use it for the amuse kit or something. Moral of the story..... dont get it in the rear
OH..... how could i forget. PICS (sorry not best quality. from my phone):
This support isn't supouse to be bent down like it is:
Brackets dented:
Body even took some dents:

typical women driver. I bought my Z in early 08' about a month later i got rear ended. The damage looks exactly like yours. His insurance gave me a 3,000 dollar check. If i were you i'd definatly take off the bumper and check for internal damage. I had about a thousand dollars worth of hidden damage.

Also, he never got it fixed. He just sold it to someone else who did a CarFax on the car which turned out to be "accident-free." Seriously, never buy a CarFax on a used car. They're pointless! Have a good mechanic look at any used car you're considering to purchase instead!

I just bought mine less than 3 weeks ago and yesterday I was sitting behind a Camry at a stop sign and he decides without looking that he wants to throw it in reverse. I started blowing the horn as I was shifting into reverse but it was too late. He cracked my vanity plate and bent the plastic bracket. I called the Nissan dealership to buy a new one and when he told me $90 I almost had a coronary.

Sorry to hear that! Another thing besides ppl rear ending my car is when driving thru parking lots, some ppl forget to check for cars passing by or just dont see you and they start to back out. I almost got hit by a truck the other day at Walmart.
