Reducing Tire Spin
Hi guys, my Z's tire spin is very severe from 1-2 whenever I floor it. When I shift, I basically shift and step to the floor right away. Can someone please tell me how to reduce tire spin? I'm lowered on GF210 with stock shocks, and tires are 245/18/40F, 275/18/40R.

.... not sure if thsi is one of those dumb questions, but hey no such thing as stupid question, and to answer ur question is just simply learn how to control your forces, and learn the car and see how far you can rev without getting your tires to peel out. BUT tires will always be spinning!!! even if you going 1mph your tires are still spinning ya??

You've identified the problem and cause in your original post. What do you want us to, "learn how to drive?"
Enter an autoX event once or twice just to get some legal/safe experience pushing your car. Your driving skills will develope far more that way then anything you read here. You will begin to understand that driving fast doesn't always mean stomping the pedals to the floor.

Don't stomp on the gas immediately and get better tires. More advanced things you can do is get a better differential, soften your rear shocks and get solid bushings for the differential

Sounds like you are applying the gas too early before the clutch is disengaged, causing the same effect as when in neutral at a light and "dropping" the clutch. Wait until the car is completely in gear before applying throttle. Believe me, you can apply full-throttle while going straight in an N/A Z33 without spinning 2nd gear with 275-sized tires that aren't wet and bald.

I have a modded HR with snow tires on, and am driving on constantly wet and salty roads. I can always get to WOT without wheelspin, you just have to gradually get there and find a place in the power band where you can get wide open throttle without wheelspin. In these crappy conditions, I GRADUALLY approach WOT until about 5,000rpm's, then let it go the rest of the way. Always works. The better the conditions and the better the tires, the lower rpm you can get WOT without wheelspin. Also, make sure you clutch is all the way out lol. Burnt clutches are expensive to replace and smell like trash.

I have the exact opposite problem. I experience massive power loss when I shift out of first. This is what I am doing:
1 - Accelerate slowly up to 11mph
2 - Engage cluthch as I let off the gas
3 - Put in 6th gear
Car always seems like it is going to stall out. Any thoughts???
