I don't know if this has been posted but it is the Nissan magazine given to salesmen with info on the cars:

Yeah, I'd love to read inside that mag. Also, we never DID get to see that manual they give to the salesman on how to sell us the Z (remember the one with making donuts with the Z?)

Do you have the comparo they are talking about? I would love to see their comparisons to the TT, Boxster and S2000.

The four comparisons, IMHO just proves that I was correct in my initial belief that the only car that can compete with the Z is the S2000. The other 3 are overpriced (M3), underpowered (TT) or overpriced and underpowered (Boxster). The S2000 is a great car, but I agree with Nissan, the S2000 is a weekend car, and I will be enjoying my Z every day. Plus being 6'3," 270, the S2000 is just too small for me. Gawd, I can't wait to get my Z

A couple points however.

First, it said that a buzzer and a light will go off during the VDC "donut" demo. What is that all about? Does that mean that every time the VDC kicks in, you'll hear a buzzer?

Also, It said NISMO is looking to "early next year" for mods but nothing about FI of any kind. Of the mods they listed (exhaust, air filters etc.) how much HP do you think we can expect?

I'm glad they talked about NISMO in that. I mentioned NISMO to my dealer one time and he didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Hopefully he'll get and read that.

Bonz, I guess it really depends one what they decide to bring over here. As of right now, we really don't. Hopefully it'll be more than just exhaust systems and air filters though, b/c with just that we wont see that much power gain. I have my fingers crossed for a NISMO chip that produces some decent power gains.

 

I think that when the VCD kicks in you are probably at the edge of the envelope and getting ready to rip it so the warning light and buzzer go off the tell you WATCH OUT!, kind of like the low ground warnings on airplanes that tell the pilot PULL UP!!! That's my guess, mine doesn't have VCD so I wont hear any warning I'll just slide out of the corner and down the cliff, but I live in Florida, no cliffs so I guess I'll be OK.
