Almost two years with no front plate and no ticket here, but now that I've said this out loud, I'm sure I'll get the ticket today. And while they're at it, I'll get the ticket for the illegal tint.
Actually I DO display the front plate -- on the sunvisor. I am pretty sure this is still a violation, as I recall that the law states that the plate has to be within X inches of the ground and on the exterior of the vehicle.

I think I read someone on this forum saying how he kept his front plate and the actual brackets and install gear in his car so when he got pulled over he'd just say yeah I know, look I just bought all the stuff and was on my way home to install it and he always got off the hook lol.
I think I'm gonna try that after I get my ride back from getting fixed. I actually got in a fenderbender and rearended someone so I'm gonna keep my bent up front plate in my car with a bracket and just tell any officer that I'm waiting for a replacement plate and I have my bracket ready to go once I get it

This is THE fix! So glad I don't have to worry about it but if I ever do this will be my story as well! Good man fight the powah!

Damn NJ is starting to royally suck with all the damn laws.
Front plates, No Front Tint, Loud Exhausts and what not. I thought this was the land of the FREE!!! I sure don't feel free.
Hey i also checked out the plate that pop sup and back down from under the bumper, but at a car show it looked kinda cheap. So im going to stand my ground and fight THE MAN till the end. haha

I have a bracket in a shopping bag in my trunk. Not to trick a cop, but because I have been intending to install it, but every time I start to, I just can't bring myself to do it. I love the clean front end.
My license plate is in my window and a lot of cops have passed me without pulling me over.

I was able to pull off the no front plates for about two years. I ended up putting it on because lately I've been hearing out here in SoCal they've been getting more strict. A few of my friends got pulled over and it was just a reason for them to inspect the car and cite them for more violations, i.e. exhaust, ground clearance, tint, etc.

LOL I just call it the NJ No Front Plate Tax. Occasionally it comes with not only a monetary fee but a fee in the form of harassment as well. When I had my RSX-S I paid the local municipalities a (usually monthly in the summer) fee to maintain a front plate free car.
Unfortunately my Z came with a plate installed and I can no longer afford that tax so I leave it on.
This is one reason I have always liked the C-West long nose front because the way you mount the plate doesn't detract from the look of the bumper.

Since i repair most of the officers vehicles in my area due to the shop. When im in my area i never have any problems thank god. It is usually down by the beach areas that give me the most problems. But now a days i just cruise normally and it has been pretty rare to get stopped less the town im in at that time need some quick cash. Other then that i've been fine since the 1st post.
