Default 2 years and finally....

Was stopped by a cop for not having a Front License plate. Im thinking (only due to the cop is now from my area and he might be on the look out to harass me) to design a Plate frame that i can install a stationary bracket that has a quick connect/disconnect feature, unless there is one already available?

Anyone know of such a thing?

check in the Texas subforum in the for sale items. There is a motorized front license plate that actually looks rather slick. It has a link to the manufacturer that demonstrates a zideo. It hides the front plate under the car and remotely brings it up.

Also that. :-D

Of course, I'm guilty of that one as well. But nobody has used their time yet.

TX seems that about half the cars do not have front plates. NJ (where I used to live) was somewhat strict as I remember it. How did you get through state inspection w/o a front plate??

I moved to Oregon and we apparently need front LPs as well. I have mine in the windshield. Is that cool?

I don't like the front LP law. I like that a lot of states are getting rid of it. I hope Oregon joins in.

I signed an online petition to get rid of the front plate law in Massachusetts. Not likely to happen though.

About a 1/4 to 1/3 of cars here don't have front plates, I've noticed.

my friend got a fixit ticket for his audi twice in 3 years, most cops don't care, but every once in awhile you get the ones that have nothing else to do.

Dude, being a fellow Jerseyan, I'm gonna say don't give in. Don't put a plate on. I've gotten 2 in the 9 months I've owned the car, and I'm willing to dish out the $48 bucks twice a year. The front license plate totally detracts from the look of the car.

Just don't go cruisin any "illegal substances" in your whip, because that's just a reason for you to get pulled over.

I bought the Zee Bracket but I wish I didn't have to have a front LP here in Missouri. I thought about just driving without it but I didn't know the ticket prices and how strict they were here.

I was fortunate the dealership did not put the factory license plate mount on - so no holes in my bumper. I went with the Stillen plate relocator kit which screws in where the tow hook goes. It can be quickly removed if you want to go to the track, etc.

Great Fix Versions gentlemen...I won't be giving in to the crummy law. I do my own inspections so thats how i passed. BUT i did receive a note about being able to pass with out a front plate. Im assuming the PO PO didn't get that memo.

Plus the guy was a new rookie from the looks, after a few words with my buddies he'll come around.

And yes i know the officer was doing his job, so i cant complain about that at all. Its just the Front plate looks like crap on any car for that matter. And the cops stop and track you from the rear of the vehicle, so why is there a need for a front plate? Less they Barricade you.

But that Swift version of the motorized plate looks pretty sick. Would love to get stopped with that and hit the button watch the cop ask where's your front plate...and me say ..its out front.

I ordered the Zee bracket yesterday of Ebay. From what I've read, it should be a good alternative than drill into your front bumper.

^ yeah but thats just the thing. I don't want the plate at all to be on the car out front. It takes away from the look big time.

My buddy DUKE has that bracket, and although it cuts the corner of not drilling, just won't look right in my eyes.
