350Z vs Z3 according to Nissan
Well OK. Good one Nissan. Um why the heck are you compairing the 350Z to a car that is not even produced any more? They even mention the Z4 replacement is on the way.
Can't wait for the comparison to the 2002 camero and trans am.

airgate,
You piqued my curiosity. What are the "inaccuracies" in Nissan's 350Z vs S2000 comparison. Obviously the information is Nissan marketing oriented, and meant to guide Nissan sales staff.
From the S2000 perspective, where's your beef? (or torque, for that matter. )

I know a few of the inaccuracies were how OFF they were on 1/4 mile times... but hey, mag racing is dumb for a reason, and we all know that.
I know they also said something about how you can't fit a flat tire (the full size regular tires) in the trunk of an S2000. That was also a flat out lie.
There was more... I just can't remember. Help me out airgate.
Oh yeah, they also said the S2k had belt driven cam gears or something (belt driven is bad) however, it is chain driven.

Oh no... here we go again...
As a S2000 owner and future 350Z owner, YES, there are many lies and untruths are that comparison between the S2000 and 350Z. Quite sad actually that Nissan has to make up inaccurate data and times to sell their new Z. Also notice that Nissan is comparing the new Z to cars not aren't even in its class... Shouldn't they be comparing it to the M3???
And by the way, who cares if you can't fit a tire in the trunk of the S2000?????? It ain't a grocery getter, its a convertible sports car!

I love the S2K's, but i just can't fit into one. I would have bought one two years ago otherwise. It's a car for skinny people.
We have to expect every manufacturer to exaggerate in their comparisons because marketing people are paid to do that, so we should really close these topics. For some reason they keep coming back.
For non/less-biased car comparisons go to www.autosite.com
It seems to be the same site that acura uses as a backend for it's NSX comparison pages. It's actually more fun to compare the NSX vs the 350z rather than an S2K vs a 350z.
S2K main page - then click on compare on the top right

NSX compare page - choose and continue
