personally i have never ever in my entire life seen a car without floor mats especially not a 50K car. Even a 200 dollar car has floor mats. I have an 2002 altima and it has mats, it doesn't say it on nissans website and it have mats as accessories.

Exclamation Floor mats in Canada

Just drove my touring model at the dealer today! No the Canadian model does not get less!! In fact floor mats are standard as are side air bags ; the only option on the car is the navi system which I did not take as a complete map of Canada is not optional!

They come standard and are not considered an option as in the U.S.

Default mats are in

Just had a look at my contract ... flor mats are included in writing on my deal. They are NOT listed in the options section of the brochure I have.

I paid for the mats... Normally the dealer will give you the mats in a new car for free, but I was just happy to get mine at MSRP, so I did not quibble over the mats.

the "base" car in canada also comes with the better stereo system (the 240 watt, 7 speaker system), and viscous dynamic control.

Floor mats are usually an option (that you must pay for) on nearly every US car but as pluckyduck said, often the dealer will throw them in for free. Not in the case of the Z however since these guys have us over a barrell when it comes to price negotiation of any kind.
