Default someone hit my baby :(

well it starts like all stories start...some @sshole!!! lol ya i was going down a 3 lane road and well some dude pulled out of a shopping center to cross to the other side lol no its not a joke and well he thought he could make it and soon as he came out i tried to dodge left to avoid him but the ********** instead of accelerating broke in the middle of the ****ing street and well i clipped his rear left with my front left, i do have good amount of suspension damage well as control arm and few other things which pisses me off big time.

now the good news....KIT IS FINE!!! lol thank god!! BUT car is in shop and now im carless. anywho taking advantage of this and finishing the amuse kit with the diffuser and skirts might also get rear addon but stock between that and the do-luck rear bumper.

Damn, that sucks. So who was in the wrong (viewed by the police)? I suppose this was reported. If the other driver is in the wrong, do you get a rental through his/her insurance?

ahh forgot to mention that, ya he was guilty due to failing to yield when making a left turn. we both have allstate so i was told things should go faster because of that and he already accepted my claim on his policy in order to fix my vehicle, not to mention i was told it covered my aftermarket bumper sweet!!!! but still dont like to see my car wrecked u know :/.

Since it's all under the same insurance and it's being taken cared of, will the insurance cover your rental through his policy? If you don't know, then call up his/your insurance and see if you are covered on a rental until your car is fixed. There's no point of paying out of pocket or being punished without a car since it's not your fault.

Oh, didn't realize that. I am not sure if that would be covered by the insurance company....unless you informed your insurance that it's a modified car.

just got off the phone and i will be picking up my rental later today, and i asked and turbo kit def. not covered under the insurance. i never reported it on my car because my premium would have gone up about 1200 annually...soo yeah def. not in my budget but thank god it wasnt touched in the accident. guy at the shop says prob. by next week it'l be ready as long as the dealer has all the parts in stock...lol but then again we all know how that goes....everything is always on back order when it comes to dealers.

Just an idea but it could make you some money.

If you dont use the rental car (borrow someone else's spare car or if you have one) then the insurance company will cut you a check for the value of the rental car you didnt use.

My car was in the shop for a solid month or so and i didnt get a rental car. End result was a check for $600.

Again just an idea.

Depending on your cars age you can also ask for loss of value since now your car will show on carfax as wreaked, and thus be harder to sell/fetch a lessor sale price. Unfortunately this is hard to establish as an actual number, though you can establish it via trade in figures and established Kelly BB value. Document document document. but it could be worth a couple grand for you. look into it.
