I'm going to guess it has something to do with undercutting and selling at the right price. not a lot of buyers ..

Believe it or not there are people out there buying but since the economy is tanking everyone is holding off on buying one until they find the right color, price, etc

I've been looking for one but the days of settling down on a random color, mileage is over for now

be careful of pathetic lowball offers

It was all about the deal and financing. I got stuck buying from a dealer, because no one would finance a private party sale at a decent rate. Unfortunately that eliminated the majority of my tastefully modified options. Once I was talking dealer only (I could have bought PP but only at 15-22% interest) it was all about the deal and how bad I was going to get jacked.

I wound up getting a mint 03 touring in pikes peak 5at which is bone stock. 48k miles for 12.5 at 9.5% and 10% down plus the equity associated with the deal.

So if you are looking for cash buyers its going to be rough. I will have the cash eventually, but the market sucks for investments as well as loans. Everything is illiquid so I didn't want to wait and figured 10% interest ain't bad if I'm just paying it for 6-12 months and making double payments each month regardless.

Perhaps you could find a local shop that will finance private party sales and refer potential buyers. Beyond that you gotta just figure out what is the lowest you will take and what are the real reasons that you are selling. If you are selling it for the money you are gonna have to be real reasonable because getting large amounts of liquid cash is pretty expensive right now.

I tried. was offered 15k for it
(2003 touring w/ 17k on the clock). I said "no" and sold my wife's car instead

given the current economic issues. selling cars is very difficult. unless you want to bend over and take it.

I'm looking for one but have yet to find it.

thos interests rates above are crazy. I was offered 6.5% over 60 months for private/used. Might want to try other banks unless there is more to the story above.

Nope. 0 Zs and G35s have been bought or sold in the last 6 months. The market has just dried up for them.

New or used boss? Used rates are always higher. I could have gotten 3.9 if I bought new and didn't mind losing 8k to depreciation.

I did the math (finance major) and I'm paying 1400 bucks over 18 months at my current payment rate, and quite possibly less if I pay it off sooner. That's pretty reasonable to me but *shrug* to each their own.

Sounds like a good price to me man. I paid ALOT more than that for my 06 base about a year ago, and its got about the same amount of mileage now.
