Why'd you choose the 350Z over the G35 coupe?

Quarter life crisis!
I just turned 25 and was always planning to be married and have kids as soon as I hit 30. So it was now or never to enjoy a sports car. I looked at the G but I wanted a sports car not a luxury coupe. If I wanted back seats I would have bought a G seadan (which I also considered but I always thought the design was not finished). Now with the +1 comming soon, I am considering getting a G sedan (which looks so much better than the old one and actually looks finished).

For the Z, you could hear the engine mixed more with the pipes. Sometimes it could be coarse or pleasant depending on the temperature and air density outside. Hope that gives you some insight.

My ex has a g and its nice but its a little too luxurious for my taste. I wanted something a little rougher around the edges. Not to mention since i dont have kids yet now would be the perfect time to own a 2 seater

I actually had an '01 IS300 yellow w/ a few adds here and there. I realized that I didn't need heated seats and all the fancy stuff the IS had.... I mean i'm 25 ( I was 20 when I got the IS ) and i'm not an old man. I figured I wanted something sporty and fun and the Z is just that. If you want a sports car in this price range get a Z if you want a luxury coupe get a used M3.... idk when I look at a sports car i don't want nav and leather etc etc. Just the throaty sound and turbo's always help haha.

G over Z! unless you're really going to track your car or go full out FI, stick with the G....
had the Z for 1.5 years, and i never realized how much i missed a back seat and a useable trunk...

I wanted a G at first, but back in early 2003 (January to be exact) you could only find the G sedan, no coupes were available anywhere so I got the Z instead, but I liked the G better.

I was pretty fortunate in my decision.I am in the car biz and we had an 05 g coupe(auto) traded in.seeing as I could get it at cost,I drive it for a week.Beautiful car.I am 51 years old and going thru an admitted midlife crisis so this seemed like the car for me.Loved everything about it.One morning after driving this car for several days,I come to work and see a black Z(6 spd) sitting outside my office. The sales manager left it there the previous night to get me going.I drove the Z for 10 minutes and bought it on the spot.Enough said.

i hate how everyone puts down the Z interior... to me it's perfect. The plastics are durable and have nice textures. I like how the z is straight to the point, a drivers cocpit. I love the 350z interior, i think it suites the car well.

I loved both. I thought about a G because I was getting married soon and I knew we would be having kids and all. I figured a two seater was a bad idea. Then I drove my ZR and thought, "Screw my unborn children! I'm probably shooting blanks anyways!"
I've never looked back. The ZR is amazing. Sure the G is nice, too...for me to poop on!

hahaha. Exact reason why I love the Z. If my friends and I are going out, and there are more than 2 people, my friends have to drive.
To the OT. I was in the same situation as you 4 months ago. I choose the Z because its more raw in my opinion. The G has big leather seats, and look too luxurious for my taste. Back seat is great, but I'm single right now and living by myself, no need for a 4 seater car. I will need a 4 doors or 5 seater car at one point in my life, but for right now I will take the advantage of being single, and enjoy it. If you have another car sitting in your garage or you are single, I say you should get the Z.
Bought the Z, couldn't be happier, and never looked back.
