Aftermarket extended warranty...Good idea??
I have an '03 Performance with the dealer extended warranty set to expire in Sept. '09. Not a daily driver (18,000 mi.). Recently had the drivers window motor replaced, replaced a radio, also had them replace something in the rack and pinion steering (all at different times). These aftermarket warranty companies average $1500.00-2200.00 for 3 years or so..(lots of variables). I intend to keep the car. Any thoughts or experiences on extended warranties out there..thanks.
Yeah this has been asked a billion times.
If it makes you sleep better, then go for it. I personall was offered a warranty for my Z and my previous cars and never used them. I just passed my 60k factory warranty btw. I do my own work so its a waste of money for me. Depends on you I guess.

i got the warranty with mine and 2 months later the tranny went bad. the warranty covered it, so it payed for itself. but thats all ive used it for, im sure its voided by mow with my heavy modifications consisting of an intake and down pipes
