What does "Euro-spec" mean and how is it different? How do u identify one as such? I have a feeling mine is and would like to know.

Thanks,

Well the UK spec you can get here.
http://www.nissan.co.uk/servlet/niss..._cb_splash.jsp

The price list may cause amusement to US viewers, mutiply by 1.9 to get to USD.

My guess is that your spec would be the same as those for European cars. I thought the Euro spec suspension was stifferthan that originally supplied on US cars, That was how it was described in the UK press but could be wrong.

We've hit 7K and my APR'04 Z is perfect! Surpassed all expectations. When the bass hits the passenger door panel rattles a bit.

is the euro suspension intended to fix the feathering or the excessive bounce. i thought there were reports of feathering on european models.

Almost 4K miles since 9/03 no problems except the annoying brake dust. I will be upgrading brakes this spring.

With only 700 miles on my '04 roadster, I have the following minor problems:

1) The button to release the gas cover doesn't always work. Pressing it twice usually does it.

2) Of the 15 times I've taken my top off, twice it has "hung" on the last phase. Releasing the button and hitting it again has fixed it (I plan to talk to my dealer about this one).

And that's about it. Of course, with only 700miles on it, it's hard to tell...

1300 miles on my roadster and everything is as it should be with the exception that it must be invisible to squirrels. Anybody know what the bag limit is?

So of the issues you guys have had what if any can't the dealer fix? It seems that the tire feathering issue is being addressed by replacing the tires only? I dont get that one, wouldnt it just happen again, or is some sort of alignment fix done as well?

I've had my 04 Roadster for a week, and I'm learning to drive a MT, so I don't think I'm having any grinding that isn't my fault.
No problems with the gas cap (but I've only had to fuel it once so far), and no problems letting the top down.. except for when I forgot to release the latch..

Hey MrNicholas, were you around New Garden and Brassfield Monday or Tuesday? If it was you, you almost got me into trouble. My wife saw a roadster like mine and thought it was me. When she went home for lunch and saw the Z in the garage she realized it was someone else. Of course this was after she called me and wanted to know why I came home and was drivin' around in the Z when I should have been working near Burlington. You owe me a beer!

Yeah, I'm frequently in that area. But I think we've balanced out: a friend of mine saw YOU, thought it was me, and tried to get your attention. When you didn't respond appropriately, he got mad at me.

I have 3,000 miles on mine and no problems at all. The brake dust as mentioned is terrible when the wheels get wet. I have my first service in 3 weeks and will have the tires checked for wear. Don't need to have the feathering problems that all the 03's seem to have.

What works for me is pulling the gear into second with a little more force and holding it in untill it has fully locked. Try it out and call me in the morning.

I found a big problem with the Z. It looks too nice that someone keyed my car.

I got notchy shifting into 2nd and some times going into 3rd.

No feathering. Just loud tires when slowing down from about 30MPH. (it's not feathered tires cause it did this from day one).
The tires are just loud.

grease streaks but they went away after a few weeks.

Paint chips so easily!!! Get a clearbra ASAP!

Otherwise the only problem is trafic and cops. *sigh*

Thank goodness there are many back roads up here :P

Tach needle keeps getting stuck.

Gas door gets stuck.

Rough idle when warmed up - want to install new JWT Pop Charger, but want rough idle fixed first.

Sub cover rattles sometimes.

All issues are just minor. Taking car to dealer in 3 days to have all issues fixed.
