I have a 2003 350z Touring Coupe. It's running on a full 20 gallons of fuel in the front yard, with the keys locked inside.

Does anyone have experience or advise on getting into the car or at least how to stop the car from running.

I've had two locksmiths try for 30 minutes each on the driver door - no luck. Tried both doors and trunk. I've been searching for the fuel pump electrical connector so that i can disconnect it to kill the engine.

I've searched the internet and found something about a manual trunk release by the drivers-side kick panel? Also, a trunk release behind the passenger seat, in a cubby? no luck locating these either. UUuuuugh, any help would be greatly appreciated....

The only thing I can think of is if you can find a hunk of rubber fuel line under the car you can pinch it with vice grips and it will choke the engine and stall it. Just make sure you pinch the feed not the return or it won't work. Otherwise unless you get the engine open or the car door, its gonna run till the tank is empty.

I'd prob change the plugs after all that idling as well lol.. And plant a tree for all the wasted Co2

You should be able to pop the trunk. Should be a rubber pad above the license plate.

 

The trunk release, above the license plate, is apparantly 'disengaged' if the windows are rolled up and the keys in the ignition. I've even held it down (or up) for 60 seconds.

 

I didn't even think that was possible, sucks to be you

Have you tried the trunk? To whoever said it's disengaged is wrong. I've had the keys in my Z while filling up gas, with the windows up, and opened the trunk to get a microfiber towel to wipe off some gasoline drips.

Now, I don't know if the trunk will open if all doors are locked.

 

I must have locked the doors accidentally (no idea how i could have), regardless the trunk release doesnt work.

Anyone know where the rubber fuel line is that i could access under the car to pinch of gas to the engine?

 

you have some vise grips? You would not be able to pinch it off with your fingers.
