I'm 17, this is my first car, and before you ask, no my parents didn't pay for the car,I did. I actually wasn't specifically looking for a Z, and when I saw it I immediately loved it. I did look briefly on ebay, but at the time, the deals were about the same, and I needed to finance, so the dealership worked.

Most MacPherson strut (and pretty much most strut-type) applications are "coil over strut." Since there are a lot more MacPherson strut-based cars out there, then yes, I'd say that most vehicles come with some kind of coil-over suspension application.

And no, I was not even trying to be arrogant.

I never claimed to know it all, I never said I had an after market system, I was asking whether or not I did. If I knew a lot about the Z, I wouldn't have signed up here, I wouldn't have needed to start this thread(which kind of went off topic, my fault).

We may be talking past each other, I'm talking about from the first production cars, to modern production cars.

I may have misunderstood PDX_Racer's reply, if so, sorry about that. I thought he was jumping on the new guy, which has happened at a few other forums I've seen. PDX_Racer, set this straight, and I'll apologize, I don't want an e-fight over a misunderstanding.

Thanks

PDX_Racer,

Sorry for the misunderstanding! As I said above, I thought it was because I was the new guy. I've had someone talk down to me for no better reason than that, at another forum in the past.

I apologize,

No problem -- I was talking about more modern vehicles (including the Z).

Sorry if it sounded like I was being a jerk -- I wasn't planning on that.

I hate speaking through text, it's impossible to tell tone or inflection. I jumped to conclusions based on prior experiences, my fault, not yours.

I'm not sure what OP means.

My Dad does, where I live it's not a law that you have to sign your kids onto your insurance plan, so it keeps the rates down. It's the same as if he were to lend the car to his brother, or anyone else.
