easy, you don't have one. Nissan changed its minds and left it out. nuy one at courtesy nissan. its a lil black square on the upper right that has the compass

 

My 2003 Touring model has the mirror with the compass.. It came with the car.. I find it very handy.. I have one in both of my other cars.. I'd really be lost without it...

Rear View mirror Compass

 

It WAS in the Touring model. I asked about this in Feb. when I got my car because I didn't get one either. It became a dealer option sometime in late 02.

 

Yep. It was listed as standard for the touring in all the documentation but mine didn't come with one either. I could really use that sucker too. According to my wife, I get lost going to the mall. Should have got the Nav.

 

i don't like fancy crap like that... especially since it takes some visibility away... otherwise i would have gotten the nav.

yeah my touring edition did not come with the compass in the mirror. but the navigation system has a compass on the screen, so I just use that.

 

I have a late model 2003 Touring (pro. date 6/03) and I DONT HAVE ONE!
How is it some tourings got them and some didnt?
I didnt get the NAV (wish i did as i even got lost on the way back from the dealership! )

If they advertise it in the broshures shouldnt we get one?

No because if you had read above you would see that some of them did. The early build models. An extra for buying early? Maybe. But whatever the reason, if they printed a million brochures and then changed a minor aspect of the car a quarter of the way through produciton they are not going to print another million brochures. Did you buy the car for a compass in the mirror?

 

listen french fry, if you were told you were going to get a car with an option on it and then didnt receive it, wouldnt you feel shortchanged a bit???

And of course i didnt buy the car for a compass in the mirror, mine doesnt have one ding dong!!!

I did however buy the *TOURING* model for road trips and stuff, I think this option would have been nice to have. (and no I dont want to buy a new mirror for $300)

Nice feature but I cant see paying 280 bucks for it. Our touring didnt come with it either, but if it says it is suppose to I think I want it too.?. Where does it say it is standard on the touring model?

 

No, I guarantee you that somewhere in the fine print of the brochure there is something to the effect of "options or equipment may change without notice"

Now, it was on your window sticker and you didn't get one, then you'd have a beef. Otherwise, it's just the normal changes that all cars go through during the model year.

 

Hell yes!! This car aint cheap and I want EVERY GOD DAMN thing they said I would get... My car was missing the 1) manual 2) Nav CD with the maps on it 3) The cup holder in the center console (which IS listed in the manual) 4) only got 1 normal key and 1 vallet key, was sposed to get 2, same with keyless entry.

I have been battling and battling with the stupid *** dealership for over a month now to get all those ordered.

You would think for a repeat buyer the dealership would be a little more friendly... I mean hell I even did ALL my service at that dealership with my previous car.
