Default Door edge guard mod

Hey guyz and galz,

I purchased some chrome door edge guards and I can't get the darn thing to stay on. I start to apply it and it starts to come off. What the hell is going on!?!

Pissed,

Brat

Wow! Chrome door edge guards, pretty dang tacky. They protect others from you, rather than vice versa.

But anyway, if the fit is loose, you can go to a sign/art supply store and buy double-sided foam tape. Sticks to the door, sticks to the guard. This, then isn't too much of a permanent solution.

If you really want to go crazy, use shoe-goo or epoxy. Watch out for the mess.

leave em off, park far away from everyone else in an end parking spot and enjoy the long walk to the car when you get to stare at

Default I guess I need to be more specific...

I was going to put the door edges on the grill guyz and galz. I saw it on Dr. Bonz car and I thought it was nice. There are a few other members who have it too.
I can't believe you guyz and galz thought I was going to put them on my doorz! OMG! ROFLMAO!!!!

Where did you get it? The "plastic" "chrome" (oxymoron?) guard sold at Pep Boys sticks like crazy. I have had mine on for 10 months.......a large bug hit one of the slats and tore the strip in one spot....I pulled it off and replaced the whole strip, but the old one was pretty darned stuck on there!

Did you get the truck molding one? If so, it should fit fine.

You can just use some decent wire cutters, will cut right through evenly, the pair I have worked well on my friends..
