This is when after you buy a car from a dealer, Nissan North America(or every car manufacturer nowadays) calls and surveys the new car buyers about their experience at the dealership and the results affect the dealerships rating positve or negative. This rating is critical to the dealerships since 1; it is open to the public, and any one can and SHOULD find out what thier local dealers CSI rating is before they purchase a car from them, and 2; it affects the price the dealership is sold cars to by the manufacturer, they give breaks to dealers with high CSIs.

On another note... Performance Nissan in Duarte California is charging 2 thousand over invoice for my 350Z that I preordered back in early February... THey said they'd give me a lojack if I paid the invoice, but now i'm hearing that Nissan is pressuring dealers to give preorder customers an invoice price?? What can I do about it..?

There is a dealership in Decatur, Ga. who has a charge of $4,000.00 for paint protection right on the add on sticker. I had to pay $499.00 for that bu;;sh*t document fee .
Good luck man , I hope you nail them to the wall.

UPDATE!
Called NNA and spoke to god knows who. Told her everything that happened, and she calmly said that she would call the dealer and get to the bottom of this.
Problem- the dealer is going to a)be very nice and b) make it look like IM the problem and not them. c) make it look like my car is getting a special treatment of coating....which its not.
She said they would call me in a day or two. Err, i hope this works out. If not, im calling Clark Howard our local news guy
These guys will go down if i dont get the treatment i deserve!!

Bring a big sign stating "I Got Ripped-Off at Team Nissan" with you the next time you go talk to them. Threaten to stand in front of the dealership with your sign if you don't get what you want. Mention my350z.com and the Maxima website, along with Edmunds Townhall and any other car forums you know. Bring a copy of a proposed message you plan on posting on each of these sites, in which you complain bitterly about the poor treatment you've gotten at Team Nissan. Include the dealer's address and telephone number. Calling your local newsman isn't a bad idea either.

Sounds nice in theory but would YOU go through with all that?
I would hope that Nissan NA would not expect someone to have to go through all that haha.
If they cant help, im going to the news people. Then making the sign ahha.

P.S. - As to the "paint protection", I'd almost pay them $1,000 to NOT apply it to my new car. Who wants those yahoos grinding around on my new car with a rag they just used to clean someone else's wheels?

I told the guy, PLEASE DO NOTTTTTT touch the car. I took one look at the 2 day old black Z on the lot and came to that conclusion.
It had some swirld and a SCRATCH behind the spoiler area. (unless it was just a HUGE piece of string! haha)
I hope to got those jokers DONT touch it.........it doenst need to be touched, washed, driven, vacuumed, BREATHED on as far as im concerned.

It figures
Back when I preordered in April, I went by Team Nissan of Marietta, GA to check things out (It's the closest dealership to my house), well they tried to pull the $1,000 price gouge thing on me AS WELL AS ask for $2,500 down for pre-order when everywhere else in town was asking for $1,000. Anyway, I already had done some research into the whole preorder scenario and knew they were trying to pull something, so I went across town to Peachtree Nissan and ordered there for MSRP and $1,000 down. I'd recommend you do the same if you can. If they aren't actual crooks, there at least only there to take you for whatever they can... either way, I'm not dealing with them again and I'm advising everyone I know to do the same.

Team Nissan sounds as if it's run like a cathouse. And you know why one goes to a cathouse. If you pay the price you get screwed but if you don't pay there's no screw and they toss you out on your ***.
