Default Highest VIN # seen so far?

Just checking for those using NissanDriven to locate dealer inventory... off hand what is the highest you've seen so far?

In the 92121 area code, I believe the highest I saw was 1027. Anyone seen higher?

I'm assuming that the a vin of 1027 means that the car was the 1027 car off the assembly line which is a good sign. So at this rate, maybe 6-7 more shipments and all the pre-orders should be filled (hopefully?)

Ok, now I'm talking to myself.

They're not delivered in exactly VIN order. My VIN was higher than that, and I got it on Aug 22.

Default VIN delivery order?

My VIN ends in 1443, no car yet , but have a delivery date. I am not holding my breath..I hope it comes early, did anyone get theirs later than their estimated delivery date?

hey you guys...just remeber that the order in which the car is produced and issued a VIN, does NOT necessarily correlate with the ETD. It takes time for a car to make its way to the midwest and maybe less time near a port etc.

AND, seeing a VIN on a dealers inventory doesnt mean that its even close to being delivered. It just means that it rolled out of opama.

Right. I hope I didn't mean to imply VIN # = Delivery Date.

I was just thinking if VIN# 2000 rolls by, that means 2000 cars are out the door (perhaps not delivered but outa the factory).

Which means... there are 2000 cars less to be delivered before I get mine.

2,000 cars in one month is not bad. This means at this rate, Nissan should hopefully hit that ~7500 cars by Oct. and make all the pre-orderers happy campers.

Again, this is all assuming VIN #2000 is the 2000th car to be produced.

I suppose it goes something like this (guess):

-A hundred made in june for late july/august delivery
-1000 made in july for late august/sept.
-3000 made in aug for late Sept.
-2000 made in Sept for late Oct.
-1000 in Oct. for late NOv. (which I think is me! )

Heheh. Yeah it's still pretty speculative on delivery dates. So far it would seem with all the early deliveries Nissan has a good start. So yeah... wooh... crossing fingers.

I hope you get your car earlier cause I think you were one of the early pre-orders. I ordered mine June 23rd and barely scraped into the program... so if you don't get yours before mine? Where does that leave me? Ha.

In any case VINs up to 2000 is very promising for August.

Default high vins get...

It is a bit amusing to see how geography is really the most important component in the delivery of our cars. My vin ends in 0137 and I'm still waiting.
I am living vicariously though through the lucky ones.

archduke, I can't believe we don't have our cars yet...talk about bait and switch...here we thought we would't be the ones waiting. It seems the east coast(you) and the seattle area(me) have no signs of any cars and maybe not even until after labor day. No dealers here have any yet no sign of any life on this side of the planet. Take care...happy waiting. I too am enjoying others joy and I continue to not wait patiently

Hmmm I wonder why your region hasn't gotten your cars... Seattle is a big port city so I would _think_ the shipments would go there for the north west deliveries.

It would be kinda dumb if they came in port of LA then had them trucked all the way up?

Best of luck. Hopefully you'll get them around or before month's end.
