Default Z in newspaper classified ads

I saw the first 350Z ad in the Phildelphia Inquirer classifieds section over the weekend.

It is a Chrome Silver Touring with an estimated 100 miles on it available in Sept for a price of.....................................$40,999.

That sound about right if you add TT&T. Maybe a $100 or so high but nothing out of line, like 5K!

I'll be selling mine for just about the same if no one takes my delivery position

first of all it doesn't say if it's a MT or AT touring. Also it doesn't say anything about any options. Tax in PA is like 6%, so you would have to have a price of like $38K before TTL. This can be as much as $5K mark up depending upon options. Also prices like these are usually quoted before tax etc.. so figure to add another $2800.

Yes, without knowing the options exactly, hard to tell.

Mine (a T 6MT, Nav etc.) MSRP is 36044 plus 7% tax tag, title fee and the 495 dealer charge comes real close to 40,000.

So if the above is equipped as such, then it's close. If it's stripped, well he doing the gouge thing!

In GA, there is no tax on a person-to-person sale, just the when you buy it from the dealer. Not sure about PA.

Yeah you say it comes pretty close to $40,000, but you got it new...this car has 100 miles on it already!

Yeah, I noticed a couple of Zs listed in the San Diego paper on Saturday. One is for a CS 6MT touring, with expected delivery of 8/26. Best offer over $40k. The second is for a black 6MT touring for $37.5k. This one looks to be outside San Diego though, as it has an 808 area code.

I think the 100 miles was just a high estimate b/c the person doesn't have the car yet.
