Question How often do you get this?

How often do you 350z drivers hear this everyday "Oh that is really nice looking, what is it?"

I've heard it 3 times today and I only drove to the Car Wash and to get something to eat. Seems everywhere I go someone has something nice to say about my car, yet no one has a clue what it is.

I know other areas are heavily saturated with Zs, but in my area they are few and far between. Seems like around here no one knows what it is, and most people ask me if it's a Porsche lol. Older man (probably 60 something) at the car wash today compliments me on the car, then asks what it is. I told him and he goes it looks like a Porsche to me, and then asks me what the difference is. My first answer out of my mouth was "Oh about $30,000" lol. However, I then said told him that most Porsches are faster and are more "luxury" than my car. He then says well I think your car looks sharp, I would rather save the 30k lol.

This car definitely gets me more attention than any car I've ever owned, I wonder how many people buy the Z just for that reason. To get the attention of people around them, to boost their own ego, or even to just attract the opposite sex. I have to admit it's really nice to have people always going out of their way to compliment me on my car so I guess a little ego boosting doesn't hurt

ya, i get compliments all the time too.. There are quite a few Z's in my area now, but still.. I get a mixed crowd, some owners of previous gen Z's or people who have no idea about cars. People say that in a few more months 350z's wont get any more stares or anything, but i disagree with that.. The 300zx's still look hot, and not to mention the supras, before I got my car every time i would see a supra i would speed up to catch up to it, and then just drool..--and thats like a 6 year old car

supra wasn't as common as the z will be though. but still i think it'll be awhile before people get tired of the z.

Of course I like the "oohs & aahs" but I love the car regardless of what others think. I hope no one buys a Z, or any other car, just because it attracts attention. When the latter wears off, which it will, they will not be happy campers.

I had a tall blond in an Audi TT pull up along side me and say.. "Your car looks like a TT but on steroids" with a big smile on her face...

I just got back from Ocean City, MD. Jesus Christ. I have never got more smiles, stares or waves from the opposite sex. I was cruising about 30mph all night just for that reason. Dudes were complimenting it too of course. Some dude drives by and yells "love your car." I go to get gas, some dude comes up and says "sweet ride man what is it?" A guy and his girlfriend (and mom I believe) drive by. The girl is staring at me smiling nodding her head up and down. I go to a light, and girls are yelling just to say hi. Granted, it is pretty wild down there to begin with

I think I'm going back this Tuesday night if anyone is heading that way

yep, its one of the perks of driving the Z. I think the one that are the most impressed are kids. Everytime I drive by a school in the afternoon all of them goes wild and points. Also I was parked in the City and this guy in a wheel chair pass by and compliment my car. He said "sweet ride dude", and I reply "Right back at yah"

I think there is a big difference between the Supra and the Z. Car people always drool over the Supra but non-car fans are more attracted to the Z. You can tell because they always ask what it is. A true car person wouldn't have to ask. I think the obnoxious 3 foot wing on the Supra made a lot of people gag.
